How to choose the right moment for a massage?
There's no ideal time, but there is a perfect time for each child, or for a specific purpose. Generally, massage is done an hour before a meal, or after, to avoid the digestive process. Each baby will guide you to the best time for them: bath time, which can be convenient, or in the morning because your baby will be very receptive, or in the evening because the parents are together… It's also very important that you are available. Massage is never an obligation; it should always be an opportunity to establish a full and joyful interaction!
I read that essential oils are harmful to babies, do your products contain them?
In general, it is recommended to check the use of essential oils during pregnancy and for young children. Indeed, despite their use for centuries due to their undeniable biological properties, some of them can be toxic. Using them wisely is essential.
Néobulle skincare products are validated by toxicologists. Each product is formulated according to the constraints associated with the user profile: pregnant woman, breastfeeding woman, baby under 3 months, child under 3 years, etc. Each product undergoes a safety assessment specific to its intended audience.
For essential oils, we base ourselves in particular on the recommendations of the Council of Europe (committee of experts on cosmetic products of the Public Health Committee) on the use of cosmetic plants, on the professional recommendations of the IFRA (International Fragrance Association) which publishes a code of good use according to the so-called QRA approach (maximum dose according to the type of product e.g. massage oil for babies) to minimize the risks of sensitization, allergies, etc., and on the recommendations of the ANSM concerning the presence of terpenoids (camphor, eucalyptol and menthol).
We have implemented a rigorous ingredient selection process to ensure the quality and safety of the ingredients.
Our formulas are essentially 100% natural and 100% organic, certified and labeled Cosmebio.
The number of ingredients used in the formula is kept to an absolute minimum. Our ingredients are pure and sourced through simple processes: organic virgin vegetable oils, organic essential oils, and floral waters. Most are food-grade. The formulation is created by aromatherapy professionals, drawing on both traditional and scientific knowledge of essential oils.
To guarantee their quality, essential oils are obtained from precisely identified and controlled raw materials, using defined processes, and possess specific physicochemical characteristics. Their geographical origin is clearly identified, and the crops are certified organic by Ecocert. The essential oils used are chemotyped (HEBBD, Botanically and Biochemically Defined Essential Oil). Their physical, organoleptic, chemical, and chromatographic characteristics are determined according to current AFNOR standards.
Néobulle skincare products are manufactured with a trusted local partner. The Abiessence distillery, growers, essential oil producers, and cosmetics manufacturers, is located just a few kilometers from our headquarters, allowing us to maintain constant oversight of our product manufacturing. Furthermore, a rigorous quality control system ensures that production is managed and monitored.
Like any product, Néobulle skincare products must be used correctly to limit the occurrence of adverse effects related to misuse of the product.
1. Follow the instructions and specific precautions for use:
- the area where the product is to be used,
- the frequency of use,

2. Follow the guidelines for avoiding sun exposure.
3. Respect the "minimum durability date (expiration date)" or "period after opening" (open jar pictogram).

5. Close cosmetic products tightly after use.
6. To ensure proper preservation of your cosmetic product, avoid temperature fluctuations, sources of heat, and direct exposure to sunlight.

Can I massage my newborn baby?
In the womb, a baby receives deep and constant massage, especially towards the end of pregnancy. It's therefore perfectly natural for the baby to experience these sensations once born. However, there are a few principles to keep in mind:
– Massage involves firm, full-hand contact. Néobulle massage oils will help you achieve a smooth, flowing movement.
– It is best to massage the baby all over, from head to toe, to help them feel their body.
– it can be reassuring for him to have a hand constantly in contact with him throughout the massage, which creates a reassuring continuum.
It's possible your baby will enjoy it so much that you won't be able to stop!
Can I massage my baby everywhere?
It's even recommended to massage "everywhere"! Babies don't yet have a sense of their own bodies, and a full-body massage will help them understand their body image. This will reassure them greatly. We can deeply massage the limbs, tummy, chest, back, and even the face with our thumbs. The head won't be forgotten, but will be gently touched rather than massaged.
Can I massage my baby who has colic?
Abdominal massages will be included in a general massage, but may be more frequent for a baby suffering from colic. We advise against massaging your baby when they are in pain, and recommend doing so when they are calm. The massage and oil will help with colic as well as digestive issues (constipation or gastroenteritis).
Can I receive samples to test Neobulle products before purchasing?
Néobulle does not currently produce samples. However, we do have products available in several sizes, such as 20ml or 50ml. This allows you to test the product and, if you are satisfied, purchase it in a larger size (200ml, for example).
What is the difference between oil, spray, and diffuser complex?
The oil is applied directly to the body or face according to the instructions on the product label. The spray is used by misting objects or the surrounding air. As for the blends or complexes, they are specifically formulated for use in home diffusers.
The carrier
From what age can I start carrying / Can I carry from birth?
Unless there are health problems, babywearing is possible from the moment your baby is born.
For new mothers, it is advisable to avoid strenuous activity in the immediate postpartum period, and in particular to avoid standing upright for extended periods, in order to protect the perineum. Babywearing remains possible, but only for short periods.
At what age can I put my baby on my back?
Back carrying is possible from birth in a sling, from 3 or 4 months in a mei-tai or preformed baby carrier.
Contrary to popular belief, it is easier to carry a baby on your back when they are still very young (under 6 months). Indeed, they are more patient, more tolerant of the normal hesitations when learning a new technique, lighter to handle, and easier to hold if they become restless.
We strongly recommend using a babywearing instructor to help you learn how to carry your baby on your back: this helps you better understand the correct techniques, secure the initial setups, and gain good autonomy.
How long can a baby stay in a baby carrier?
We recommend taking short breaks every 2 to 3 hours so that baby can move around a bit (generally, this corresponds to the times when he asks for food or when you need to change his diaper!).
During carrying, also feel free to move the material on him a little and to move his arms and legs slightly, to avoid constant pressure always on the same places.
Apart from short breaks that are necessary, there is no maximum carrying time in a day.
How to choose the length of my scarf?
There are 4 sizes of scarf. It is indeed important to choose the right size so as not to have too much fabric, or so that it's not too tight to tie.
The size of the scarf is chosen according to your own height and the knotting technique chosen.
Sizes 34/36, 38/40, 42/44, 46 and up
Scarf length: 4.10m, 4.60m, 4.60m, 5.20m
For a kangaroo knot (more technical), choose one size smaller than the one indicated above. Kangaroo knots use less fabric, while cross knots use more.
The baby's size or age is not important, as babies grow taller than they grow wider and therefore don't take up more space in the sling. Generally speaking, a 3.6m or 4.1m sling is recommended for "kangaroo" carries and for people of small to medium build. A 4.1m or 4.6m sling is preferred for "cross" carries and for people of medium to large build.
A trial during a babywearing class will confirm the choice.
How to dress a baby in the baby carrier?
It is recommended to choose soft, comfortable clothing that does not restrict movement, so that your baby is at ease (no jeans, stiff pants, frilly dresses, etc.).
A baby carrier counts as clothing: it replaces a small vest, for example. Limiting the layers of clothing between you and your baby helps them regulate their temperature (a bit like when you practice skin-to-skin contact).
In winter, it's not recommended to use thick clothing (snowsuit, coat, etc.): these make it difficult to position the baby in the carrier, reduce comfort, and create a distance between you and your baby (resulting in a loss of thermoregulation due to proximity, causing the baby to cool down more quickly). Instead, cover any part of the baby carrier that extends beyond the carrier with a hat and booties/leg warmers, and wrap yourself in the same coat or babywearing blanket. In summer, the baby can be carried in a bodysuit or even just a diaper, and you can add a hat and sunglasses for outings. You can also use lightweight pants or a small muslin square to protect their legs, or apply sunscreen.
How to wash my carrier system?
To avoid prematurely damaging the material, we recommend washing at 30 degrees Celsius, ideally with an organic detergent (remember that babies love to chew on the straps!) and without fabric softener. Spin at a maximum of 800 rpm, and do not tumble dry (or only very rarely!).
Baby carriers can be placed in a mesh laundry bag or pillowcase to prevent the straps from getting caught in the drum and lint from clinging to the shoulder straps.
How is the carrying cover used, what does it involve?
The cover fits over your baby carrier, whether you're on your front or back, respecting the physiological position! Both your arms are free, and there's a front pocket if your hands get cold!
The babywearing cover helps to retain the warmth of the baby carrier until it reaches the car seat, so your child is never cold, even for a moment.
How to know if baby is breathing properly?
Your baby's airways must always be clear while being carried. To ensure this, there are 3 points to check:
- No material behind the head; it must stop at the nape of the neck.
- Your baby's face must be visible
- Your baby's chin should not be pressed against their chest (you should be able to fit a finger between their chin and neck). Don't hesitate to gently lift your baby's elbows and hands under their chin to stabilize their posture.
How to know if my baby is properly installed?
A good installation is first and foremost a safe installation: your baby breathes freely, and is held securely enough so as not to risk falling.
To improve comfort, it is important to check that the posture is physiological (lower back rounded, knees slightly higher than the hips), and that it is positioned high enough on the wearer's chest (an installation that is too low pulls on the wearer's trapezius muscles, and the baby is less stable and has its head tilt to the side or back).
Generally speaking, an imperfect (but safe) babywearing setup will not have a detrimental impact on your baby's health or development. Don't hesitate to contact a babywearing consultant for guidance; this will help you feel more comfortable.
How to use my carrying cover with a sling?
To attach a babywearing cover to your sling, fasten one side to the buckle and tuck the other side, once the Velcro is folded back, into the fabric of your sling. It's a bit of a makeshift solution, but we don't have a better option.
Should I wait for my baby to hold their head up before carrying them?
When carrying the baby in a physiological position (rounded lower back, knees higher than the hips), it is not necessary to wait until the baby can hold their head up before carrying them. Their head will be naturally stabilized by the baby's posture, the support provided by the carrier's chest, and the material of the carrier, which should extend up to the top of the neck.
P
Can baby take a nap in a baby carrier?
Soothed against you and rocked by your movements, your baby will likely fall asleep (at least in the first few weeks). There's no reason not to let them nap on you. We encourage you to regularly check your little one's posture while carrying them, paying particular attention to ensuring their airways are clear. This is especially important when they've dozed off and may tend to slump a little.
Doesn't that cut off circulation in the legs?
Generally speaking, it is advisable to check that it is possible to pass a finger without forcing it between the hem and the baby's leg, to ensure that it does not cut into the fabric.
Also, be careful that the clothes do not create compression by bunching at the point where the fabric passes through.
Doesn't it prevent my baby from learning to walk?
Babywearing is a fundamental need of the human baby, and contributes to its proper psychomotor development, notably by helping to stimulate the vestibular system (inner ear) and by allowing the baby to feel which muscles are being used during the walk of its wearer.
A baby is rarely carried continuously; carrying time should complement periods of motor development. Once reassured, your little one can be placed calmly and focus their energy on learning.
In fact, carrying is actually an aid to learning to walk, and does not delay it.
Can I carry my baby after a cesarean?
Barring any specific health issues, it is perfectly possible to carry your baby even after a cesarean section. The carrier will replace your arms and ensure safe movement, while ideally distributing the weight across your torso (which reduces strain and protects your body).
Care will also be taken to position the baby high enough so that nothing puts pressure on the scar.
Is the baby breathing properly?
In babywearing techniques, we learn to position the baby high on the wearer's chest. This has two benefits: the baby hears and is stimulated by the baby's heartbeat, and the baby is within easy reach of the wearer, who can see and feel their breathing constantly. Furthermore, we emphasize the importance of keeping the upper airways clear (the baby's face must always be visible), so the baby's head should not be completely covered. The baby doesn't need this, and will quickly become irritated if they wake up!
Furthermore, Néobulle fabric is 100% cotton and completely breathable! Finally, always carry your baby upright, never horizontally. (See sections "A responsible brand" or "Physiological babywearing")
Does my baby risk falling?
The risk of falling is very frightening but is actually very low. With baby carriers and mei-tais, the fabric passes between your baby's legs, preventing them from falling. With wraps and slings, the tension holds them firmly against you, also preventing falls.
If you feel that your baby is not secure enough and you have to hold them with your arms while carrying, do not hesitate to apply more tension and either contact our customer service so that we can ensure together that the setup is correct, or contact a babywearing instructor to help you learn.
Is carrying my baby good for their health?
Physiological babywearing is recognized for its numerous health benefits for babies. These include, but are not limited to:
- Decrease in crying
- Regulation of vital signs
- Helps promote healthy hip development (especially if dysplasia is suspected)
- Prevention of skull deformities
- Reduction of pain in cases of gastroesophageal reflux
- Helps promote healthy psychomotor development
Can you sleep with a baby carried in a baby carrier?
It is not advisable to sleep with your baby in a baby carrier: the wearer must always remain vigilant about the correct posture of their baby, and in particular regularly ensure that their airways are always clear.
Can we put the baby facing outward?
Carrying the baby facing outwards in a carrier is not recommended.
- It is no longer possible to preserve the physiology of carrying and comfort
- Facing the world outdoors is too stimulating and can be stressful for your baby
Facing the world drastically increases the risk of falling and can be dangerous.
When your baby starts wanting to see more of their surroundings, you can opt for carrying them on your side or on your back.
Can you wear a baby when it's hot?
Babywearing in hot weather is possible. The close proximity to your baby helps regulate their internal temperature and means they suffer less from the heat when carried than in a stroller with synthetic padding. It's recommended to take regular breaks to hydrate your baby, avoid going out during the hottest hours, and protect them well (hat, sunglasses, etc.). I'm afraid of squeezing my baby's legs too tightly with the sling. Can you advise me?
In babywearing, we learn to tighten the sling section by section to adapt it to the baby and support their back vertebra by vertebra. Only after this tightening is the sling looped back over the legs. The focus is no longer on tightening, but simply on passing it over the legs. The baby should be able to move their legs and have their feet free. If you have any doubts, consult a babywearing consultant.
I'm afraid my baby will get used to it
Babywearing is one of the fundamental needs of a human baby. It allows them to be soothed, feel secure, and contributes to their healthy brain and psychomotor development.
It is proven that the more you meet the needs of a very young child, the more autonomous and independent they will be later in life. Therefore, there is no risk of developing "bad habits."
Until what age can one carry?
There is no set age for the end of babywearing because it all depends on the needs of the child and the limits of the parent.
It is considered that the child's weight begins to have a potential impact on the health of the carrier from about 30% of the carrier's weight (i.e. 21kg for a 70kg carrier, which corresponds to an average 6-year-old child).
In practice, most children's need for carrying decreases drastically once they start walking. If they are still carried occasionally, it's for relatively short periods, which is not strenuous for the body. It remains very convenient for walks or naps at friends' houses, for example.
Can you carry twins / triplets?
Carrying multiples is theoretically possible, but in practice it often proves to be primarily a temporary solution due to the exponential increase in weight it entails (you don't carry 3, then 4, then 5 kg, but 6, then 8, then 10 kg!). Carrying multiples for walks is not recommended.
Contrary to popular belief, it is generally difficult to have both babies in a front carry position, apart from a rather static skin-to-skin time on a sofa: firstly, once the first one is in place, it is difficult to position the second one, and above all, the volume makes carrying very uncomfortable and prevents any activity.
It is preferable to place one baby on your back, to take care of the second one calmly (changing diapers etc…), or to carry it with another system (a sling for example).
It is advisable to have a carrying system for each child (in case of problems with one baby, it must be possible to take it out without impacting the carrying of the other).
Babywearing is a real game-changer for parents of multiples, allowing them to meet the needs of several children at once and thus reduce crying and parental exhaustion. It's also sometimes a great way to avoid buying a double stroller, since you can carry one child while the other is in the single stroller.
Can you carry two children at the same time with Aquabulle?
Aquabulle is an arm aid (or auxiliary carrying device) for aquatic activities.
The problem with having two Aquabulle pools for two children, even though some mothers have done it, is that you need someone to hold your little one. Your arm is tied up, so someone has to help you get the second child in. In this situation, you won't be able to use your arms to reposition your child if they move around, or hold onto the pool ladder—in short, it's less safe, which is why we don't recommend it.
When I settle in, I am afraid of positioning my baby incorrectly.
It's a very good thing to ask this question! And we highly recommend taking a course to learn how to carry your baby in a sling.
In general, the baby's position is very important, even essential: rounded back, baby sitting "squatting", knees higher than the buttocks and spread apart like the hips.
Tightening the carrier will become essential for the well-being of both the wearer and the baby. As for the height of your baby, it's simple: their head just needs to be within kissing distance. Finally, the best way to get guidance and advice is to contact one of the many babywearing associations.
What is the difference between a Scarf and a Sling?
Unlike a sling, which automatically fits over the shoulder and is adjusted using two rings, a scarf requires tying.
Several positions are possible thanks to different types of sling knots. Babywearing in a sling adapts perfectly to each individual's body shape. This method of carrying is also recommended for extended periods, such as hiking and leisure activities.
The sling, on the other hand, is quicker and easier to put on. You can carry your child on your hip, front, or back. Carrying time will be slightly shorter than with a wrap since the baby's weight is distributed over one shoulder. Wrap or sling? It all depends on how you intend to use it.
What is hip dysplasia?
Our EVOLUBULLE, NEO, SLING, and MY SLING baby carriers have been approved by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute! What is hip dysplasia? We'll tell you all about it here :-)
If I carry my baby, won't he get used to it?
The famous myth of the "tantrum"! A baby cannot throw a tantrum. It has needs: to eat, to be cared for, but also to be held, and as parents we must meet those needs, feed it, change it AND ALSO HOLD IT!
A baby needs emotional security to develop confidence. The more quickly their needs are met and they feel secure when they are young, the more secure they will feel and the more capable they will become of being alone. From a very young age, their security comes from frequent contact with their parents. This need will decrease over the months as their curiosity and activity increase. Soon, playing while sitting or crawling will become fascinating!
